What's New
Seeds, Crops and GMOs:
New Variety Registration Regulations threaten organic farming and farmer independence.
Listen to this special Making the Links Radio program, "Seed Variety Control by Private Interests" on how the Canadian Food Inspection Agency seed regulations will be changed to accommodate the interests of private concerns and the transnational corporations who are pursuing genetically engineered seed production.
You have until September 12 2008 to comment on the proposed regulations
Food Miles Campaign
Buying local organic supports our Saskatchewan Organic Farmers and reduces food miles that contribute to climate change. SOD's Food Miles Campaign is working to increase access to Saskatchewan Organic Food.
Use the Eat Well Guide to find organic food near you. If you know of a source that is not yet listed on the Guide, feel free to suggest a listing.

SOD is seeking letters of intent in order to fund projects that will advance value added processing, value chain development, or market development for the organic sector in Saskatchewan. To apply, please submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). If your LOI is accepted you will be invited to submit a full proposal. See
