Are Organic Markets Recovering?

Buyers of organic grains are approaching the new marketing year with guarded optimism. They see product beginning to move, and prices fairly stable, perhaps even creeping slowly upward.

This is good news to organic producers who have been discouraged by stalled markets in the last couple of years. Predicting organic prices is a bit like forecasting the weather.

SOD would like to introduce Alanna Hoesgen - our 2011 Summer Student

The Saskatchewan Organic Directorate (SOD) and Organic Alberta launched the Saskatchewan - Alberta Organic Producers’ Directory in September 2009.

The objective of the directory is to increase market access for organic growers by enabling buyers to search for organic products by town, region, product, or the producer/farm name.
